- Tomy Drissi and Keith Grant team up for two-car Drissi Motorsports effort at Sebring SpeedTour
- Drissi enters event on a four-race podium streak; Grant returns to site of his first career TA podium
- Team welcomes new partners Trench Shoring Company and Motul, as well as the return of Franklin Road Apparel
Drissi Motorsports kicks off its pursuit of the 2025 Trans Am presented by Pirelli championship this weekend with a visit to Sebring International Raceway for the Sebring SpeedTour. Team namesake and 2009 Trans Am champion Tomy Drissi will kick off the full schedule in the team’s flagship #8 Trench Shoring Company Chevrolet Camaro in the premier TA class, while Keith Grant will return as Drissi’s teammate in the #7 Chevrolet Camaro.
“I’m excited that the offseason is finally over and we can get back to racing in Sebring!” said Drissi. “We had a great test session here last month, and the entire Drissi Motorsports team has worked hard all offseason long to ensure that we’ll be up front on race day. We’re determined to give our new partners at Trench Shoring Company and Motul an opening race weekend to remember!”
The 2025 Trans Am season sees Drissi Motorsports welcome Trench Shoring Company and Motul as new partners, while Franklin Road Apparel returns to the team from 2024. While the primary sponsorship has changed, one thing hasn’t—the team’s status as one of Trans Am’s most successful squads in its top division.
“Trench Shoring Company is thrilled to be a part of the Drissi Motorsports Trans Am team,” said Tom Malloy, Founder, Trench Shoring Company. “Tomy and I go back a long way. My first memory is Willow Springs with VARA in our ‘5000’s’ about 1995 or ‘96. Then on to places like Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca and Road America. He then moved on to Trans Am and professional racing. It was always fun reading about his exploits as well as watching him at local races like the LBGP. I was really happy the year he won the championship. As I mentioned we are thrilled to be a part of the team and looking forward to a great 2025 season for Drissi Motorsports.”
“We at Motul USA are excited and proud to welcome Tomy Drissi and the Drissi Motorsports Trans Am team to our 2025 racing family,” said Dave Wolman, Director, Center of Excellence, PowerSport Americas, Motul. “I personally have followed Tomy’s career for years and watched him become a racing professional, team leader and team owner! Tomy and team GET IT! It’s not only winning, it is the whole operation that makes the difference. The team is fast, the appearance is immaculate, and the media communication is impressive. We look forward to working with the team and the manufacturers that supply the racing components that need extremely high performance lubricants!”
Drissi has a history of starting the season strong at Sebring. He’s finished in the top five in four of the past five visits, including a runner-up performance in 2020. More importantly, momentum is on his side, as he enters Sebring on a four-race podium streak that dates back to Watkins Glen last summer.
Grant also has fond memories of Sebring. It was the site of his first career TA class podium as a rookie in 2023, and he backed it up with another top-five run last year. His return to Sebring kicks off another season of rotating drivers in Drissi Motorsports’ second car, which remains one of the most coveted seats in the Trans Am paddock.
“Sebring will always be memorable to me as the site of my first TA podium,” said Grant. “I’m looking forward to rejoining Tomy and Drissi Motorsports for the opening round of the season this weekend and trying to do it again.”
Drissi Motorsports’ track time at the Sebring SpeedTour kicks off on Friday with a pair of TA class test sessions at 10:40AM and 4PM. Saturday will see the team practice at 9:50AM and qualify at 3:45PM, while Sunday’s race is set for 27 laps or 75 minutes and will go green at 10:50AM.
