Professional off-road racer Gray Leadbetter took her second top-five finish of the Championship Off-Road Pro Lite season in Saturday’s Antigo Off-Road National from Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway. Leadbetter wheeled the #28 On Track School/Yokohama/Pepper Palace Pro Lite to a fourth place finish in Saturday’s feature for Ryan Beat Motorsports, continuing to show solid pace in her rookie season in the class.

Leadbetter kicked off the weekend by throwing down the third fastest time in qualifying, a 55.700 second lap on Antigo’s unique oval-based layout. She’d start fourth after a six-truck invert and end up finishing in the same position when all was said and done, scoring plenty of valuable championship points. Despite a DNF in Sunday’s feature, Leadbetter posted consistent lap times all weekend.

The combination of another top-five finish and varied podiums across both race days meant that Leadbetter would leave Antigo tied with Joey Maciosek for fifth in the Pro Lite standings. She also ranks among the top Pro Lite rookies who had never competed in the class before this season.

“I’m happy to have scored some decent points again in Antigo,” said Leadbetter. “I’m still learning the truck and adjusting back after a year in Pro SXS, so to be able to put in some solid runs early is for sure a confidence booster. Thanks to everyone on the team and all of my partners for their continued support. We have plenty to build on from the first part of the season, and a podium is within reach!”

Following Antigo, Leadbetter returns to Crandon International Raceway later this month for the 32nd Annual Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run. As a Pro SPEC driver for RBM in 2023, Leadbetter took back-to-back third place finishes in the Brush Run before finishing second in September’s Pro SPEC World Cup race at The Big House.
