Deliberately running VORTEX races solo is not permitted under series rules because it constitutes a competitive advantage to not have to spend the time required in the pits to do a driver change in an iRacing team event. However, to foster competition and ensure everyone can play, drivers are allowed to run the entire race in the event of issues joining the race with their team, with the results and points finalized in post.

Because many such cases existed in the Kemimoto Group Therapy 100, a universal penalty will be applied evenly to each of these entries. The universal penalties that will be applied to solo entries are as follows:

• Each entry that ran with a solo driver will be penalized by one lap in its final scoring.
• Solo entries will then be moved to the last spot on the lap where they were scored.
• These penalties do not apply to entries that featured in-person driver changes. There was one such entry in this race, the #157 Unlimited Car, that was restored to its original lap count and finishing position.
