Will make debut in EV Open Production class in 2026 Mint 400

Professional off-road champion Gray Leadbetter will team up with Chevrolet Performance and Hall Racing to take on the 2026 American Off-Road Racing Championship season in the #EV230 Chevrolet Silverado EV ZR2. Leadbetter’s first race with the team will be the 2026 Mint 400, coming to Las Vegas on the week of March 4-8.

The AORC program marks Leadbetter’s return to desert racing events. After starting her career running youth races in stock UTVs at events like the UTV World Championship, she has since honed her skills in disciplines ranging from rally and rallycross to short course off-road and Extreme E and H. After a successful guest appearance with Hall Racing in last year’s Laughlin Desert Classic, Leadbetter was tapped to drive the team’s electric entry for 2026 for all eligible AORC events.

The Chevrolet Silverado EV ZR2 made its debut at last year’s Mint 400 as the third entry in the Hall Racing stable. Comprised of 98% GM production parts but boasting 1,100 horsepower, the truck claimed a class win on its debut in last year’s Mint 400. Leadbetter will apply her experience in other forms of high-horsepower and electric racing towards extending its winning record at the Great American Off-Road Race.

Fans looking to see Gray Leadbetter, Hall Racing, and the Chevrolet Silverado EV ZR2 in action can visit the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival in downtown Las Vegas on Thursday, March 5 to see the truck take part in tech and contingency. The team will compete in the Mint 400 Limited Race on Friday, March 6, with spectating tickets still available and live streaming kicking off at 10:30AM ET/7:30AM PT at themint400.com/live.
