The latest step of Tommi Hallman’s career journey with SET Promotion takes him into the premier class of RallyX Americas for the 2026 season. The Finnish standout was announced today as the team’s first entrant in the Hypercar division, where he’ll take the wheel of a First Corner FC1 starting on June 20-21 at Crandon International Raceway.

“This is awesome, I’m really looking forward to hitting the track at Crandon,” said Hallman in a team release. “To go racing in America has always been special to me and to do it now with this rocketship of a car, together with SET, one of the most legendary teams in the sport, gives me goosebumps already.

“We’re building something new with RallyX Americas that feels valuable, and to make it at these iconic venues will create one heck of a show. For sure there’s going to be a lot to absorb in a short amount of time, but like always, I’m not here just to fool around, but to get to victory lane!”

“We have had an association with Tommi for a lot of years now in different programmes, but never at the highest level of a championship,” added SET Promotion co-founder Jussi Pinomäki. “This is a real opportunity for someone who had genuine talent to show what he can do. I really believe not only in Tommi, but in the potential of rallycross in North America and in an electric rallycross championship. A lot of effort has gone in to making this happen, on all sides, and there a lot of good names involved in RallyX Americas. We’re eager to get to Crandon and get this underway.”

Hallman and SET Promotion have a history of success together in both RallyX and North American competition. Prior to moving into the FC1, they won a RallyX title together in Supercar Lites in 2021, and they excelled with the FC2 Supercar in both Nitrocross and RallyX in 2024 and 2025, taking victories at Richmond, Utah, Montalegre, Valkenswaard, and Estering.

SET Promotion boasts a double-digit European championship haul over two decades of rallycross history. Its North American record includes the inaugural Global Rallycross Lites title in 2013 with Joni Wiman, who swept the season. Hallman’s versatility behind the wheel spans from wins in every rallycross level he’s competed at to successes in Extreme H and even esports; this year, he’s added driver coaching and spotting responsibilities for Albert Kokk, another young talent in SET’s European driver pipeline.
