Gray Leadbetter and Banks Hovey are the latest drivers to confirm their entry in the inaugural RallyX Americas event at Crandon International Raceway this weekend. The Channel 199 personalities and action sports power couple will do battle in a pair of First Corner FC2 Supercars, with Hovey carrying the colors of Real Street Tactical and Leadbetter representing MoTeC in this weekend’s action.

Leadbetter is no stranger to Crandon, having competed here in both pro truck and UTV classes. It was at Crandon that she became Championship Off-Road’s first female champion in 2022, taking the Pro SPEC title, and now she’ll have the opportunity to add rallycross success at The Big House in her FC2 debut.

“I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to get behind the wheel of an FC2 car this weekend. Not only is it special to get back into a rally car, but it’s also a full-circle moment to do so with Andreas Eriksson, who owned the very first rally car I drove back in 2017 during my time in Sweden with Patrik Sandell.

“Adding to that, this weekend marks the debut of FC2 at Crandon, a place I’ve called home for the past eight years racing off-road. I’m looking forward to being back around the off-road community while also introducing them to a different side of motorsports. It’s going to be a special weekend and I cannot thank everyone involved enough for making this happen.”

Hovey has expanded his resume from freestyle motocross events with Nitro Circus and stunt videos with Channel 199 into racing in recent years, including multiple podiums in Nitrocross UTV races. From pit bikes and go karts to Gymkhana Grid and Cleetus McFarland’s Crown Victoria races, he’s known for driving and wrenching on anything he can get his hands on.

“I’ve been waiting for this for a while now and I couldn’t be more excited to get in the FC2 to race,” said Hovey. “Just like most stuff I get to drive, I’m being thrown to the wolves without any seat time, and going headfirst into the weekend with some unknown expectations, other than to have more fun than anyone else.

“Getting to race against my girlfriend (Gray Leadbetter) just makes it that much more awesome as I couldn’t imagine anything better. To top it off we all get battle it out at the big house for the first round of RallyX in the United States which is monumental for the series. I hope the rest of you all are just as excited as we are because we’re gonna put on a hell of a show.”
