The JC Raceteknik duo of Robin Larsson and Lukas Andersson are the RallyX Americas Hypercar and Supercar championship leaders, respectively, after the series’ inaugural race event at Crandon International Raceway. Here’s a look at how things break down:
How are RallyX Americas points scored?
Drivers can score a maximum of 37 points during a RallyX Americas round. Drivers have three opportunities to score points:
- Qualifying Heats: The driver who posts the best cumulative results in qualifying heats receives 16 points. Second place receives 15, third place receives 14, and so on.
- Semifinals: Each semifinal winner receives 6 points. Second place receives 5, third place receives 4, and so on.
- Overall Classification: The winner of the A final receives 15 points. The rest of the drivers to make the A final score between 12 and 8 points. The winner of the B final scores 6 points, second place receives 5, third place receives 4, and so on.
Hypercar Recap and Points
Both Hypercar A final winners, Robin Larsson and Tommi Hallman, fell just one point short of the maximum in their respective rounds. But it was Larsson’s consistency, despite a spin in the Round 2 A final, that enables him to lead the championship; as the fastest driver in those qualifying heats and winner of his semifinal, his 31 points were still second-most to Hallman in that round, one more than A final runner-up Kevin Eriksson.
- Robin Larsson, 67
- Tommi Hallman, 59
- Kevin Eriksson, 55
- Jimmy Henderson, 54
- Oliver Eriksson, 51
- Mitchell deJong, 46
- Lia Block, 43
- Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky, 39
- Timmy Hansen, 36
- Brad DeBerti, 26
Supercar Recap and Points
Only Lukas Andersson could post a perfect round over the weekend, taking 37 points in Round 2 after pacing the qualifying heats, semifinal, and A final. Round 1 winner Mitchell deJong, the only double duty driver of the weekend, fell one point shy of the maximum thanks to a DNF in his first qualifying heat. Andersson’s 33 points and runner-up finish in that round, combined with high attrition for the FC2 Supercars, have given him a comfortable advantage—and more points than anyone else in the series.
- Lukas Andersson, 70
- Simon Olofsson, 53
- Mitchell deJong, 52
- Tyler Leach, 52
- Banks Hovey, 51
- Gray Leadbetter, 51
- Romet Tsirna, 44
- Johnny Holtger, 42
- Patrick Gruszka, 37
