For the first time in RallyX Americas history, the Nova Motorsport ACB11 tire will hit the track in the Supercar class during August 22-23’s event at Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières. Every First Corner FC2 on the grid will be equipped with the same tire compound that RallyX competitors have been racing in Europe for the past few years.

The Nova ACB11 is the world’s most successful rallycross tire, with a specially engineered compound and tread pattern designed exclusively for the sport. The compound optimizes performance on both tarmac and loose surfaces, and it boasts a 17% homologated FIA tread pattern.

As one of its first major partnerships, Nova Motorsport signed a five-year agreement to serve as RallyX’s Official Tire Partner commencing with the 2024 season. Later that year, Nova relaunched production of the ACB11 at its new facility in Portugal, using the same construction as its predecessors under different labels. RallyX remains a large part of Nova’s Global Grid, delivering a massive following, unique brand of racing, and ground-breaking footage over the past two years.

Ken Payne, Nova Motorsport’s North American Manager, comments: “We’re delighted to have the first outing of the Nova ACB11 Rallycross tire here at the stunning Circuit de Trois-Rivières. The tires will certainly be put through its paces – they really do go from the rough to the smooth here, with jumps added in for even more action.The quick tarmac sections really work the tread compound, and we can easily see temperatures in excess of 100°C.”

When RallyX announced its pending expansion into North America at the end of that year, the process of bringing the Nova ACB11 across the Atlantic began. Nova Motorsport personnel have been on site at all RallyX Americas events before GP3R to prepare for a successful launch.

The ACB11 compound is no stranger to GP3R, having been used in the first six editions of the event from 2014 to 2019. However, GP3R will serve as the first test of these tires on an FC2 Supercar on North American soil.

“The Nova ACB11 brings a good amount of side grip for the FC2 cars,” says Oliver Eriksson, who won the RallyX North FC2 championship at Estering earlier this month on the tire. “For example, in Turn 1 at Canada, I think you’ll see a crazy amount of speed into the corner, and the tire will hold up and keep grip for the drivers. It’s great to know, as a driver, that the tire doesn’t slip out—you always have consistent side grip on the tire, which means you can keep the car sliding.”
