• Tomy Drissi will be joined by Cole Moore in a second Drissi Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this weekend
• Drissi remains third in the TA championship with four podium finishes this season
• Moore is the TA Cup points leader with four class wins and five podiums in 2026

Drissi Motorsports will return to a two-car operation as the 2026 Trans Am season resumes this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. 2009 Trans Am champion Tomy Drissi and the #8 Trench Shoring Company/Petersen Automotive Museum/Motul Chevrolet Camaro will be joined by TA Cup championship leader Cole Moore, who will be making his TA debut in the #99 Chevrolet Camaro.

Drissi’s 2026 season has seen him score four podiums in nine starts, including two runner-up finishes at Lime Rock Park and Road America. Those results have him third in the TA championship coming into this weekend’s trip north of the border. Since CTMP returned to the Trans Am schedule in 2024, Drissi has been on the podium both times; other highlights have included a third place in 2000 and a runner-up finish during his 2009 title run.

“It’s really exciting to get back to Trans Am competition this week at CTMP,” said Drissi. “The Canadian fans are very passionate about our series and our cars, and this is one of the most fun tracks to drive on the schedule. This is the only time all year that we share the track with TA2 cars, which makes for an interesting race, but it’s something I also look forward to. Our goal is to keep my podium streak here alive and gain more valuable points in the championship.”

Moore makes his debut at the highest level of Trans Am competition this weekend after dominating the TA Cup class in 2026. With four wins and five podiums in the six TA Cup races so far this season, leading the points in both the National and Western championships, the California native will take advantage of the trip to Canada to compete in TA machinery.

“Adding Cole to the team at Mosport is going to be very exciting,” added Drissi. “He’s been very impressive when we’ve shared the track this season, and he had some awesome speed at Indianapolis and Road America. We’re all excited to give him the chance to show what he can do in a full-powered TA car, because he’s already shown overall podium pace in TA Cup.”

“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to get in this car and run with these TA guys,” said Moore. “I really have to thank my sponsor JM Environmental and my parents John and Tonja Moore for making this happen, and I have to thank Tomy for opening the door to let me in and work with such a great group of guys. I’ve got a lot to learn, but I’m excited to grind, get better, and try to get on the podium this weekend!”

Drissi Motorsports will first hit the track on Thursday for optional test sessions at 9:40AM and 12:50PM. Friday will feature practice at 11:40AM and qualifying at 3:45PM, while Saturday’s race will go green at 2:15PM for 41 laps or 75 minutes. As always, live streaming will be available via Racing America, while race tickets remain available as well.
