Registration is officially open for the first event of the 2026-27 CORR NEXT season, which will take place on October 10-11 at Firebird Motorsports Park. This event will serve as Rounds 1 and 2 of the championship.

Beginner Definition

Any racer that has not raced for a “Short Course” series for more than 4 completed races will qualify for CORR NEXT Beginner classes. No prior CORR racers that have raced for a season qualify for this class. The CORR race director has the discretion during the season to request a Beginner to move up to the Experienced class if the driver shows experience above and beyond that considered to be Beginner. Points will be carried up to the experience class with a 50% reduction for any move up, voluntary or requested.

Experienced Definition

Any Racer who has raced for more than 4 completed races in a “Short Course” series will qualify for CORR NEXT Experienced classes. All CORR presented by AMSOIL series racers qualify as Experienced racers unless they only attended 2 race weekends in the last 2 years of competition.

Trophies and Points

All classes, Beginner and Experienced, will receive 1st to 3rd trophies.  Points will be the same point schedule as CORR presented by AMSOIL, and end of year champions will be awarded according to finisher points.

Starting Order

We will be doing a random “Pill Draw” style starting after tech closes for all classes, Beginner, Experienced, and all combined classes.  After the first day’s race, we will be doing staging based on current points leader as P1 and filling accordingly through the starting order. Missing racer slots will be filled with the next racer in line according to current points.

Vehicle Rules

All race vehicles MUST follow the CORR rulebook regardless of Beginner or Experienced class definition. These rules are general safety requirements and must be followed and inspected in tech.

CORR Test and Tune

All Pro SXS, Pro Buggy, and Pro Truck classes are welcome to take part in Test and Tune opportunities following the completion of CORR NEXT races on both Saturday and Sunday. Details on Test and Tune are as follows:

• Start times: Saturday at 3:05PM and Sunday at 1:30PM
• Duration: 2 hours per day, time cycled sessions based on entries
• Cost: $100 per vehicle per day, plus applicable gate fees
• Safety requirements: Vehicles must pass normal safety and tech inspection guidelines before track entry. Spotters are also required for any track activity.
