53 seconds over a five-hour race. That’s all that separated the overall podium of the 2026 Silver State 300 Limited Race on time as they crossed the line. And on a hard-fought Friday afternoon where passing opportunities were at a premium and precision was the name of the game, Kyle Chaney would come out on top of what will likely go down as the tightest UTV Pro battle of this year’s American Off-Road Racing Championship.

Chaney and co-driver Saydiie Grey finished three laps of this year’s race in 5:07:03.741, giving the driver of the #T191 his first podium of the season. Parker 400 runner-up Ronnie Anderson would finish second, just 25 seconds behind Chaney, while top qualifier Corbin Leaverton would complete the podium.

While other events this year have proven dramatic for their high attrition rates, the 106-mile Tonopah course brought the excitement in a completely different way. The top UTV Pro racers were right on top of one another all day long, and even through the second lap the top seven racers were within just two minutes of one another on corrected time.

The difference would come down to who could finish strongest. The three podium finishers each pulled out a 1:42 lap to spread the gap a little wider and lock into the top spots. Of the late front-runners, only Cody Bradbury would fall out of contention on the final lap, taking the first DNF in the UTV Pro.

Initially, Mitch Guthrie crossed the finish line first, with a preliminary time 13 seconds ahead of Chaney despite starting in eighth. However, after post-race review, AORC officials determined that Guthrie used an illegal race line at RM 74 on all three laps, awarding him a five-minute penalty.

UTV Pro racers dominated the top end of the standings, with just one other driver—Class 10 winner Clayton Sullivan, on the podium for the first time this season—cracking the overall top 20. Other class winners included Jeff Martin in UTV Pro Turbo, Justin Von Metal in UTV Pro Stock, and Caysen Weaver in UTV Pro Stock Modified.
